DSHS Drama Presents Chicago

CHICAGO is coming to DOVER-SHERBORN!

Don’t miss the #1 Longest-Running American Musical in Broadway History!! CHICAGO! The Dover-Sherborn High School Drama program proudly presents “Chicago, the Musical” at Mudge Auditorium! 100 students have been working months to bring this RAZZLE DAZZLE, SMASH HIT to the stage complete with Fosse-style dancing, live jazz orchestra, sky high set, and the amazing acting and singing talents of the high school students! In addition, there will be an Art Exhibit from the DS High School Fine Arts Students in the cafeteria for viewing before the show and during intermission!

One Act Play is Headed to Semi-Finals

On March 3rd, 2019, Dover-Sherborn High School competed in the 88th annual The Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild (METG) High School Drama Fest at Attleboro High School. Our play, Of Widows and Vegetables by Michael Scanlan, was selected to move on to the semi-finals on March 16th!
 
Brin Rockett, Lauren Kelly and Isaac Hargrave were recognized for their performances and Aoife Bergeron, of Medway HS, was recognized for painting our backdrop. Congratulations to the cast and crew!! On to semi-finals!

The month of December is filled with opportunities to support Dover-Sherborn High School Performing Arts!

Our December Dover-Sherborn FoPA meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 11th at 7:00 pm in the high school library. All are welcome!

Mission

The Friends of the Performing Arts is an organization of parents and community volunteers that promotes and supports the music and theater programs at the Dover- Sherborn Regional Schools.

Through its fundraising efforts, Friends of the Performing Arts provides annual scholarships to students excelling in the performing arts. Friends of the Performing Arts also funds grants for workshops, equipment and material requests for the performing arts.

Friends of the Performing Arts provides production support for performances by concert band, jazz band, vocal ensemble, a cappella and theater.
